Kivääritehdas Business Park
STATUS: Invited competition, honorable mention, 2009
LOCATION: Jyväskylä, Finland
DESCRIPTION: Extension to the Kivääritehdas Business Park is located near the centre of Jyväskylä between the travel centre and the old rifle factory that has been converted into offices. The design connects the old buildings to the city centre by introducing a new lively streetscape along which the new buildings are placed. A total of 37000 sqm of new buildings include premises for small and large businesses as well as services including restaurants, gyms and conference facilities. Office spaces are designed to have maximum flexibility for a wide range of users with diverse needs.
