  • Tikkurila Church and Parish Centre, 'Liitto'

  • LOCATION: Vantaa, Finland
  • DESCRIPTION: The design comprises a new church hall and a re-arrangement of the parish centre, total of 4900sqm. The new church hall attaches the parish centre to the planned pedestrian square of the city in a humane and timeless manner. The old buildings, tailored to respond the altered demands, are connected to each other via an internal passage facing a garden in the courtyard. The new church hall, when combined with the parish church hall, accomodates a total of 600 seats.
